Heaven's Dance
Westminster Farm, established in 1995, was the result of a mutual passion that a father and daughter shared for horses and the world of competitive horse showing. Situated just minutes from the campus of the University of Alabama, it has operated as the premier Hunter/Jumper facility serving this area for the past 28 years. We offer instruction ranging from beginner levels all the way to national levels. Additionally, we participate in many local shows throughout Alabama. Central to Westminster Farm’s vision is the importance of four core values essential to the development of equestrians young and old. All riders at Westminster Farm should strive to demonstrate:
-
responsibility to the care, safety, and overall well-being of all horses and animals on the farm grounds and property.
-
willingness to follow and respect farm guidelines, listen to, and learn from feedback provided by trainers, instructors, barn managers, grooms, and employees—both in and out of the ring.
-
respect for all individuals who work, ride and are spectators at the farm especially, those who provide instruction, training, and care of all living and non-living things on the farm grounds and property.
-
commitment to maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the tack room, crosstie and wash rack areas, and any personal items such as tack trunks or lockers.
These values are demonstrated by all Westminster Farm trainers, instructors, staff, and employees. Additionally, it is this vision that supports the creation of life-long riders who exhibit horsemanship that is responsible, ethical, and safe while simultaneously developing a culture of encouragement, inclusion, hard work, and love. We invite you to come take a tour, have a lesson, or schedule a birthday party here at our facilities. Come see and experience for yourself all the benefits a first-class facility has to offer. We will look forward to your visit!
